The transfer of your .uk-Domain is coordinated by Nominet. Nominet administrates every information about the registered .uk-Domains (incl. contact data).

• 1. The previous domain provider has to confirm the domain removal by so-called "tagging". The previous provider is obliged to change the tag holder (registrar tag) on request.
• 2. Please inform us when the registrar tag has been changed from the current provider. After that the transfer of the domain can be executed. The remaining time of the .co.uk domain remains unchanged.

• At .de, .be, .fr, .it, .lu, .nl und .no domains the remaining paid time decays. After the completion of the transfer you will receive an invoice for the new term of one year.
• The transfer of .at, .ch und .li domains is free. The transferred domain name will get billed the first time after the paid period of your old provider has expired. The end date of the paid period is visible in your Customer Zone after the transfer is completed. Information about the runtime of domains not managed by us is not possible. To get that information you need to contact your current provider or directly Nic.at or Switch.
• The following domains will be extended for one year after the transfer is completed. That year will be billed directly from us. The next accounts are prepared only after the new total duration:

The auth code is an authorization code (number and letter combination) which is required for the transfer of a domain. The domain owner can request the auth code for the respective domain from his current provider.

You can enter the auth code directly during the transfer order, so that the transfer can be processed as fast as possible.

How long a domain transfer takes depends, among other things, on the particular domain ending.:

• With .at, .de, .ch and .eu domains, the domain transfer is completed within a few minutes, provided the specified authentication code is correct and has been entered.
• In the case of .com, .info, .net and other gTLD domains, the domain move is initiated via a confirmation request by e-mail to the domain owner and the Admin-C contact. If the previous registrar does not agree to the domain transfer or rejects it until the expiry of the opposition period, the domain relocation is completed after six calendar days (after the domain transfer has been initiated).
  
  

  The above-mentioned procedure also applies to subsequent gTLD domain endings.

The domain name itself does not usually have to be terminated in the case of a domain transfer. Any existing additional services should be terminated before a domain transfer.

• 1. Backup of the website and / or database at the current provider
• 2. Transfer website content as well as databases to your alldomains.hosting webhosting packages. You can do this either through an FTP client (eg.: "FileZilla") or through the "filemanager" of the alldomains.hosting "Control Panel"
• 3. Adaptation of the database paths as well as any correction of fixed links.
• 4. Check website for functionality

In order for your email addresses and website to still be accessible after a domain transfer, small configurations may be necessary.

Variant 1:
Domain was transferred to us, but the webhosting package (website, emails, databases, etc.) should remain with the old provider.
In this case, you will need to log in to your alldomains.hosting Customer Center and adjust the DNS records there to point to the external web hosting package and keep your website and email addresses active.

Variant 2:
Domain, website and e-mail accounts are / were transferred to us.

Please note that website content and e-mail accounts are not automatically transferred when moving a domain. See: "How can I transfer my existing homepage and / or e-mail addresses?".

If the website has been transferred to us and the e-mail accounts have been created in the alldomains.hosting Control Panel module "e-mail manager", the DNS entries must still be checked so that they refer to the web hosting package.
